Evaluation of Small Grant Scheme Implementation Project of Shillong Water and Sanitation Project (2004)

The main objective was to evaluate the implementation of the small grant scheme of Shillong Urban Water Supply Environmental and Sanitation Project and determine whether it improved water supply and environmental sanitation conditions in urban areas of Shillong.

Posters, pamphlets, audio-visual aids, and flip charts had been used to train the community on awareness about health, hygiene, water, garbage disposal, and sanitation.  The projects created a cleaner environment and proper sanitation was achieved. As a result of the interventions, pollution significantly decreased.
