Bidhayak Das, Member of Impulse Model Press Lab Core Committee, is an Independent Consultant for Elections, Governance and Media (Communications), in Asia and North Africa. He is a communications professional who specialises in Elections, Governance, Human Rights, and Peacebuilding.
He has been the Country Representative of the Asian Network for Free Elections (ANFREL) Foundation’s Myanmar office from 2014 until recently. Prior to that, he worked as a Coordinator on Capacity Building of CSOs, Media and election officials, Election Analyst and an International Observer.
As part of ANFREL-Foundation, Das participated in the Global Network of Democratic Election Monitors (GNDEM) meetings, the Declaration of Global Election Principles (DoGP) and has also been closely associated with various Election Management Bodies in Asia, the Middle East and North African (MENA) region. He led the conceptualization and preparation of the Bangkok Declaration on Free and Fair Elections in 2012 and has been a key member of the Asian Electoral Stakeholder Forum (AESF) which has gained immense international recognition and acclaim.
